Indian automobile manufacturer Tata Motors has collaborated with the Fusion Automotive to expand its presence in Australia.

Under the partnership, the Fusion Automotive will undertake marketing and distribution of the Tata Motors brand in the country.

Tata will launch its portfolio of light commercial vehicles including the 4x2, 4x4, single and crew-cab variants with Euro V Turbo diesel engines through its new partner.

Tata Motors managing director Karl Slym said, "As we launch products tested and validated across some of the toughest terrains into the Australian market, we are happy to partner with the Fusion Automotive, who bring to table their tremendous insights for this market."

Fusion Automotive Australia managing director Darren Bowler said, "The vehicle range, starting with light commercials, will be competitively priced and will offer a greater level of value than what is available in the current market."

Fusion Automotive is planning to appoint dealers across Australia to increase the size of the dealer network to 13 by the end of 2013, while the company will also expand its network across Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia.
